How do I return an item?


Return Merchandise Authorization - RMA Policy:

At Sonic CCTV, our goal is to ensure your complete satisfaction with your purchase. If, for whatever reason, you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you can return it to Sonic CCTV within 30 days of purchase date. All Sonic CCTV merchandise are non-returnable after 30 days from the invoice date. Sonic CCTV reserves the right to refuse any merchandise return for credit. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be received within two business days of receipt of merchandise.

You have the option of exchanging the item(s) or receiving a refund for the full amount of the item purchased. Refunds on returned items will be issued in the same payment form as tendered at the time of purchase. If payment was made by credit card, once we receive the product we will credit your account. Please allow 7-10 days for a credit to appear on your credit card statement. If payment was made by check, the refund check will be issued after 10 business days from the date of purchase.

Please read all conditions below. If conditions are not met, Sonic CCTV reserves the right to refuse the return or to charge a restocking fee no less than 25%.

No Return/Exchange on the following FINAL SALE items:
  • All cables including Premade Cables
  • Wall Mounting Brackets are not accepted for returns, no exceptions.
  • Software once any of the manufacturers' packaging has been opened.
  • Hardware such as camera housing & bracket,
  • LCD / TV Wall Mounting Bracket
  • Connectors
  • Raceway
  • Tools
  • Test Equipment
  • Warning sign / decal
  • Wall plate... etc
  • Electrical Strike and Electromagnetic Lock
  • Special Order merchandise.
How to return or exchange an item:
  • In order to return an item you need to first obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number which is only valid for 10 days.
  • Request an RMA number online
  • Place the original package into a shipping carton.
  • Please do not place stickers or shipping labels on the original manufacturer's package.
  • All returned merchandise must be shipped back to our address within 10 days from the date of RMA. All returned merchandise must be shipped back to our address with the RMA number clearly written on the outside of the shipping box and not on the Product Box.
  • We recommend you ship via insured ground service with a tracking number. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages.
  • "No Fault Found" RMA items or any shipping cost will shipped back at customer's expense if not within warranty period.
  • If product is under warranty Sonic CCTV will pay for return shipping cost to customer.

Rules :
  • All returned or exchanged items must be in new condition, in their original box, and must include all packing material, blank warranty cards, manuals, and all accessories.
  • Sonic CCTV is not responsible for personal data or items left in returned merchandise.
  • Defective items may be repaired or exchanged at our discretion for the same model or manufacturer's equivalent model.
  • Sonic CCTV is not responsible for any consequential or incidental damage resulting from the sale or use of any merchandise bought from us. We are responsible for the monetary value of the merchandise only.
  • After two (2) weeks all returns are subject to a 25% minimum restocking fee or more. Please refer to manufacturer's restocking fee policy. All Special Orders are "absolutely Non-refundable and Non-returnable."

Other Notices:

In order to obtain full credit refund or exchange for Soinc CCTV in-stock items
(except PC DVR/NVR systems, IP Cameras and Final Sale Items), all items must be shipped back to Sonic CCTV within two (2) weeks from the invoice date, in original condition. ● 

Returned merchandise must include all original materials including but not limited to mounting brackets, screws, instructional manual, box sticker, product sticker, cable sticker, original box packaging, and miscellaneous accessories all in resellers condition no EXCEPTIONS.

  1. After two (2) weeks all returns are subject to a 25% minimum restocking fee or more. Please refer to manufacturer's restocking fee policy. All Special Orders are "absolutely Non-refundable and Non-returnable."
  2. All Sonic CCTV merchandise are non-returnable after 30 days from the invoice date. Sonic CCTV reserves the right to refuse any merchandise return for credit.
  3. All PC DVR/NVR systems returned within 7 days of invoice date is subject to a 25% restocking fee for credit or credit refund. Systems returned within 30 days is subject to a 35% restocking fee for credit only and is non-refundable. ◆

    Restocking fee is charged for Software, Hardware, and Labor. Software: Operating Software cannot be returned if opened. Hardware: Memory, Motherboard, Hard Drive, Cooling Fan, etc. are cannot be returned if used. Labor: Hardware assembly, software installation, and testing non-refundable.

  4. Sonic CCTV reserves the right not to replace product until the replacement is returned from Manufacturer/Vendor.
